Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez is coming to India
Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez is coming to India to spread awareness about AIDS and female foeticide in the country.
The beauty queen will go on a six-city tour from 25th June to 5th July and will be visiting slums as well as orphanages during her tour.

"Three cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore have been finalised and we are considering other options like Kolkata, Pune and Jaipur," fashion designer Sanjana Jon, who is organising the tour, told.

Fernandez will also be supporting a 'Get Tested' campaign, urging people to take the HIV test so that they do not spread the disease due to ignorance.

The initiative has been taken by IG International, of which Sanjana is a founding member.

The company has been associated with the Miss Universe organistaion since 2003 and has brought many title winners to the country earlier.

"In 2004, we had brought Jennifer Hawkins to India and in 2005 we got Natalie Glebova. We have a consistent tie-up with the Miss Universe organisation and conduct these tours every year," said Sanjana.

"We usually hold up the cause of AIDS, but this year we have an added one - save the girl child," she added.

The designer thinks it is very important that people like Fernandez, who have a global appeal, should support causes in India. "People always listen to them who they aspire to be like. A Miss Universe is a global figure. It is very important that they come to India," said Sanjana.

Men In Black, Ladies In Gowns
Dresses, train gowns, saris and black suits ruled the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony here. Just like previous years, most of the Bollywood beauties stuck to gowns and dresses while men chose to play it safe with black.
But there were some leading ladies who opted for the elegant sari. Among them was Bipasha Basu who had combined a rustic orange sari with a fuschia halter neck blouse - a creation by designer Anamika Khanna.
Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez also draped a white sari with lots of crystals by designer Manav Gangwani while upcoming actress Sonakshi Sinha walked the green carpet in a golden sari. Actresses like Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza, Malaika Arora Khan and Suzanne Khan wore long dresses. While Lara and Dia, both former Miss Indias, preferred the colours beige and black respectively, Malaika looked stunning in lime green and Suzanne shone in electric blue.
TV anchor Mandira Bedi and Sophie Chaudhary drew considerable attention with their rather revealing dresses.
Mandira wore a light blue, knee-length dress that was transparent enough to expose her tattoos. Sophie chose to wear a bold black dress in sheer transparent fabric by Manav Gangwani.
The Bollywood heroes stuck to the all-time favourite black. Everyone from Hrithik Roshan to Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor to Sanjay Dutt, Govinda to Vivek Oberoi and Neil Nitin Mukesh were all wearing formal black suits.

Anupam Challenged By Hitler’s Role!
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has that playing the role of Adolf Hitler in the upcoming film 'My Friend Hitler' would be challenging.

Addressing media persons here on Sunday, Kher said: "For me... I already have an image, I am a known actor, so it will be doubly hard work for me to take away that image, and an actor likes taking challenges," said Kher. Actress Neha Dhupia would be playing the role of Eva Braun, Hitler's lover, and said she is very excited to work with Kher.

"I am really looking forward to working with Anupam Kher, and it'll be exciting, it'll be educative. I'll learn things on the set everyday. We are going to be doing some workshops together to make sure," said Dhupia. The director of the film, Rakesh Ranjan Kumar, said that the film would be released in both the Indian and international cinemas.
He added that Hitler was the most successful loser of the twentieth Century and he wants to interpret the reasons for that.

"As a leader, he was successful. I want to show these things. Why did he lose as a human being, what were the problems, what were the issues, what were his intentions, this is what we want to show," said Kumar. Kumar also said that Kher and Dhupia are the actors best-suited for their roles, as both of them bear resemblance to the characters they are playing.
