Nivedita Saboo Showcases Majestic Realms at PFW

Thursday night at the Pune Fashion Week, closed on a glamorous note, with Nivedita Saboo closing the 2nd day at the Fashion Extravaganza, held at the Westin Hotel, Pune.


With an élan matching the opulent showcasing of her collection ‘Majestic Realms’, Nivedita Saboo put together a line befitting the gold lined living of the New Heirs and Heiresses of today.

A cascade of colors boasting of immense joy and powerful confidence nurtured by marvelous designs, met the splendid walk of the Runway, as Designer Nivedita Saboo paid an ode to the dynamism of the Royal Lineage.

Threading together a collection that evolved from a chic and western sensibility to a more exuberant traditional technique statement, the show brought together a contemporarily classic play of style with 48 stunning ensembles for men and women. The nuances of the collection displayed the story of the modern day Royalty as it showcased to the audience a fine celebration of luxury.

The clothes essayed effortless infusions of digitally developed prints on traditional patterns, befitting new age royalty. From white cut work leather jackets teamed with dhoti pants to flowing kaftaans, the collection showcased a breathtaking journey on the runway. With manifestations of alabaster, gold and powerful personalities depicted through her choice of colors, the designer brought to the fashion extravaganza a selection befitting the majestic bloodline.

The fabrics cascaded through French chiffons, pure satin, velvets, sheer tulle, and embellishments in Chantilly laces and fabric developments in appliqué. As the sultans of the lineage descended on the ramp adorned with amulets, head gears and shoes accessorizing their feet, a palace like décor full with gold gates and surreal lights rose to greet their bejeweled presence.

Choosing some of the finest models as the ‘Creative Bearers’ of her collection; Anjana Sukhani opened the show for Nivedita Saboo, followed with some of the most celebrated names of the fashion world. The dreamlike show ended with flamboyance as the designer had Randeep Hooda and Karishma Kapoor as her showstoppers for the evening.

Speaking post the show, the Designer had this to say, “The brand Nivedita Saboo is all about the celebration of Life. There can never be a dull moment should you choose to live it up in style.”

Nivedita has over the years seen her mastered genius mirror through a touch of finesse to the silhouette and surface ornamentation combined with a brilliant technique. Her collection from the show will be available at her flagship store, Nivedita Saboo in Pune and select stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
