Dear Sir,
Please accept Heartiest Congratulations & Gratitude from 60 lakhs citizens of Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad for providing much needed life saving oxygen of discipline, bit efficiency, increased awareness re commuters, financial discipline etc to Death Bed ridden PMPML.
One more cause of serious concern is Advertising Contractors; they eat up the potential revenue of PMPML in conspiracy with PMC Corporators/Officers, corrupt Pmpml officers etc.
1.Erecting New Expensive SS Bus Shelters at:
i) Places other than Bus Stops,S B Rd, Near Sahara Hotel (photo attached).
ii) Multiple Bus stops , where hardly any commuter is waiting,hence not required.(Mafatlal Bunglo,University rd etc)
iii)Places with Only one route 4-5 trips a day & no commuter waiting( Pandav Nagar etc.)
iv) Old good condition Bus Shelters removed to install new one( Bremen Chowk,Jagtap library-model coly etc)
2.No commuter information.
3.Illegal advertisements
4.Pmpml loosing revenue as new bus shelters not included in Contract but are installed now more than 6 months.
5. Cause Obstructions to Pedestrians/cycle tracks.
6. Relocation of bus stops for benefit of vested lobbies- traders, illegal transporters, autos, six seaters, Jeeps etc. Rajaram bridge, akurdi CHOWK, Apollo cinema, Karve rd. Etc.
7.There are more than 1000 bus stops where 50-100 commuters keep waiting
for bus at any point of time, but have not been considered for new Bus shelters.
8. No information from pmpml, who v takes decision for installing these bus shelters. We are told these from corporator funds, good ,but it has to be Only for the benefit of commuters, and not for the benefit of vested interests. Neither PMC could give satisfactory replies.
