Ecuador
The
Galápagos Islands comprise a volcanic archipelago that lies about 620 miles off
Ecuador's Pacific coast. It's one of our planet's foremost destinations for
viewing wildlife, particularly undersea wildlife. It even inspired Charles
Darwin, in 1835, to come up with his theory of evolution. Here two spotted
eagle rays swimming in blue water off of Wolf Island.
