NSCC Monthly meeting

National Society for Clean Cities, Pune
Pune a Clean City - Clean in Every Which Way
Dear all,

As usual we will meet for our monthly meeting on the third Saturday, 17th Oct 2015 at the Wadke Hall in the PMC.  The meeting will start at 4-00 pm.  Please make it convenient to come early to bond with each other.

The agenda points are:-
1. Mohalla Committees to report on the good work they have done and the results achieved.
2. Mohalla committees to put up issues that could not be solved at the Ward Office level.
3. Your ideas on making evacuation of cinema halls and theatres fast and safe in an emergency to avoid tragedies like that of Upahaar cinema.  In the past two decades there has been no improvement while the threat perceptions and terror activities have increased manifold.

Those who have not paid their dues are requested to do so.

Investing In Pune's Real Estate Market? Check Out These Amazing Localities!

In recent years, Pune has become a growing metropolis. The city is the second largest in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai, and yields just as much potential as its predecessor.
Although it comes second to Mumbai as Maharashtra’s largest city, Pune has become a force to be reckoned with. It has managed to transform its rural locations into bustling industrial townships and has also become home to a wide variety of residential properties. The city has also cemented itself into a leading position among Maharashtrian cities, and plans to stay there for a very long time. This article will take you through this captivating city’s most prominent points.
The Impressively Emerging Hadapsar
At one time, Hadapsar was only a tiny village speckled with farms here and there. Today, this area serves as a home to some of the largest IT and ITES corporate players in the world. Respected companies such as IBM, Accenture, TCS, John Deere, SAS, Honeywell, and many others have become immersed in this thriving environment. There are also quite a few factories and additional companies that have settled in Hadapsar too, including Bharat Forge, Kirloskar, Gits Food Products, and many more.
Residents are quite content in this location as it provides access to an abundance of entertainment and recreational facilities. Due to its continuous growth and development, Hadapsar can become your home too!
The Hottest Hub in Town, Wakad
This bustling area is yet another rags-to-riches story. Wakad was once a small farming community before emerging as a popular real estate draw that it is today. The area possesses a full-fledged drainage system, constant electricity and water supply, and well-connected network of roads, conveniently linked to the rest of the city.
An Infotech Park has also been proposed in its vicinity, along with a Pune/Mumbai Expressway, making this the place to be for future development and expansion.
Well-Connected Kharadi
Once a dismissed piece of land, Kharadi has evolved into a gorgeous, urbanised city. The location is conveniently close to the airport and central locations like Koregaon Park and Magarpatta Cyber City. Many large IT companies have made their way into the area, including Tata, Eaton, Reliance, etc. There are also several 5-star hotels, as well as many other commercial buildings placed throughout this part of the city.
Kharadi has been named an Eon Free Zone, and has also been established as a Special Economic Zone, with a goal of employing more than 40,000 individuals in one shift. The area has a wonderful water supply and transport facilities too.
All-Inclusive Viman Nagar
This location attributes its name to the nearby Air Force Station. It is positioned right between the airport and the Pune Main Railway Station, allowing for smoother commutes for the area’s residents. Major shopping facilities such as Inorbit and Phoenix Market City are also close by, along with a large garden and exciting sports clubs targeted toward the youth. Viman Nagar is also home to two large IT parks, including Giga Space and Weikfield IT Citi. Given its large span of local activities and facilities, this area provides the best of both urban and natural worlds.
The Quaint Area of Wagholi
Wagholi finds its roots as a small village in the northern part of the Koregaon region. Its citizens are active participants in the community, and are often found serving in the military or participating in local politics. This area plays a vital role in fields such as agriculture, education, politics, social service, etc.
Both commercial and residential projects continue to emerge. Additionally, the village has excellent connectivity with the rest of Pune through local buses allowing for easy transport.
Whether you’re looking to settle down somewhere quiet or busy, Pune has a location that will fit your needs and desires perfectly.
