Putin Has Won': Mueller Report Details How Russia Interfered in 2016 Election

Robert Mueller’s long-awaited report is unambiguously clear on this point: Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and sought to help Donald Trump win the White House.
That has been the unanimous view of the intelligence community for nearly 2½ years. But it is laid out in unprecedented detail across nearly 200 pages of the special counsel’s report, which also describes Russian efforts to forge ties with members of Trump’s campaign to further the Kremlin’s interference goals.

Gunmen kill 14 after kidnapping them from buses on Pakistani coast

QUETTA, Pakistan, April 18 (Reuters) - Unidentified gunmen killed 14 people in southwestern Pakistan after pulling them from several passenger buses, sifting through their identity cards and kidnapping them, a Pakistani official said on Thursday.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on the passengers who were traveling on a coastal highway from the financial hub of Karachi towards Gwadar, the Arabian Sea port town where China is building a deep-water port.
Southwestern Baluchistan province has long been plagued by violence and a stubborn insurgency, with several separatist groups and Islamist militants operating in a region that boasts vast gas and mineral resources.

Ashish Joshi's Wild Life Photography: Snow Leopards of Ladakh

Dear Friends,
In the month of March 2019, we (self, Ashwin Datye, Anil Nadgeri, Vinod Bartakke and Reginald Popelier) visited Kibber in Spiti Valley in search of the "The Grey Ghost" of Himalayas - The SNOW LEOPARD.

It was the most memorable trip and a life time experience for all of us. Surviving harsh temperatures of -15 to -20 deg Celsius for 10 days. Combating altitude sickness, trekking in avg 3 to 5 ft snow for hours, toes getting numb and UV sun burns on our face, it was a challenging yet motivational task to complete.
All our efforts paid off when we had 6 times sightings of Snow Leopard (4 individuals, 1 adult male with Ibex kill and a family of 3 with mother and 2 sub-adult leopards). Ibex, Red fox, Blue Sheep to add to mammal list and Finches, Redstart, Eagles and Vultures to add to bird life.

The below blog attempts to share our experience with you all. Please find time to read (recommended on PC/ Laptop) and let us know your views/ comments.

Thanks...

Talks in trouble as Taliban slam Afghan guest list

An upcoming conference between Afghan representatives and the Taliban appeared to be in trouble Wednesday even before it begins, with the militants deriding Kabul's plan to send 250 delegates -- several of whom have already dropped out.
President Ashraf Ghani's administration had announced Tuesday a list of people from all walks of Afghan life, including some from the government, that it wants to send to the so-called intra-Afghan dialogue in Doha this weekend.
But the Taliban poured scorn on the lengthy list, saying it was not "normal" and that they had "no plans" to meet with so many people

Amita Nene's Yummy Expressions: Pizza Toast

Amita Nene's Yummy Expressions

Pizza Toast - My version of the delectable tapas….. the Toastizzaz!
My visit to Barcelona last year was more than a holiday to a new destination, it was an endeavour to rediscover self by connecting with the unknown and getting acquainted with the unfamiliar.
And my tryst with its culinary delights continues to inspire my cooking every now and then.   The famous Spanish tapas had caught my fancy like nothing else, and I had found the bite sized appetizers that go so distinctively with the drinks to be quite intriguing, given the huge variety one gets to see in their preparations: the textures, the tastes and the flavours.
Tapas are bite sized appetizers or snacks that are best had in between meals, typically with a refreshing drink of Sangria. Tapas could be something as simple as pickled olives & nuts and crisps or elaborated like croquettas and the sumptuous salads or it can be something gourmet like battered fish with seaweed or a sardine with cheese on melon or Smoked pepper prawns.
You have these vibrant Tapas bars all over the city and it is an absolute delight to go bar hopping to enjoy glasses of wine and get your picks from the most delectable arrays of tapas.
And ever since I encountered these yummy petite titbits of delicacies, I don’t leave a single opportunity to make my own versions of this culinary wonder.
I bring you today, tapas that are inspired by the most loved Italian food around the world… the pizza!
I call my tapas …The Toastizzaz!

Nayakgiri; Fiction: Game Set and Match

A Fictional story about Strange Interpersonal Equations in Life
Author runs blog http://nayakgiri.blogspot.com
Game Set Match
My father called me very late in a winter evening. He stays merely a 10 minutes’ drive away from my house where I live with my wife and kid. I had just completed another long day at the office. As I freshened up and was heading towards dining table, I received the call.
He said: “Rajabhau is no more. He passed away in hospital today at 7 30 pm. Cremation is at Vaikunth at around 10”
I told him that I will pick him up in around half an hour from then.
Rajabhau was very ill and hospitalized. Last week his son and daughter flew from US which indicated the gravity of the situation. My father also did some hospital duties being close to him since their schooldays.

Iceland used to be the hottest tourism destination. What happened?

If you asked a group of people in the last five years where they'd been itching to travel, Iceland would definitely come up. But the latest tourism figures indicate interest in visiting the country may be starting to lose some steam.
In 2018, 2.3 million people visited Iceland, 5.5% more than the previous year, according to the Icelandic Tourist Board, but that increase is far lower than what the Nordic island is used to seeing.

Notre Dame saved from total destruction as fire rages on

Hours after a massive fire engulfed the historic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday, a city official said the structure of the building had been saved.
The fire at the cathedral caused the roof to collapse, destroyed a spire and spread to one of the building's two rectangular towers. The sight brought many onlookers to tears.
Those living near Notre Dame were evacuated as a safety precaution, the mayor's office said. The Paris prosecutors’ office ruled out arson and possible terror-related motives, and said it was treating it as an accident, The Associated Press reported.
"I'm devastated," Elizabeth Caille, 58, who lives in the neighborhood, said. "It's a symbol of Paris. It's a symbol of Christianity. It's a whole world that is collapsing."

India hopes to avoid US sanctions over Russian missile deal

India is hopeful it will avoid US sanctions over its purchase of Russia's S-400 missile system, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told AFP.
New Delhi has been "heard and understood" by the US administration over its accord to buy the S-400 missile defence system for $5.2 billion, the minister said in an interview this week.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin in October, defying US warnings of sanctions on countries buying Russian military equipment. The sanctions were part of measures to punish Moscow for its actions in Ukraine in 2014.
