Hornby Lighthouse, New
South Wales, Australia
The whimsical, carnivalesque
red-and-white striped lighthouse at South Head in Sydney National Park, built
in 1858, is surrounded by majestic views. To the east, there’s Sydney Harbour;
Middle Head and North Head lie to the north; and eastwards faces towards the
vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. It also happens to be a prime spot for whale
watching.
