The Heart Reef
Considered the world's largest coral reef
system, the Great Barrier Reef is made up of 3,000 individual reefs and 900
islands off the eastern coast of Australia. One of those reefs takes on a heart
shape, hence its moniker — Heart Reef. This reef is located in the Whitsunday
Islands and since snorkelers and scuba divers are not allowed to enter this
protected area, it must be viewed from the air.
