Guadalupe Mountains
National Park, Texas
Another great place in Texas to enjoy
stargazing is at Guadalupe Mountains National
Park in West Texas. During the day,
hikers can enjoy viewing ancient remnants of the Permian fossil reef, an area
which was once a sea floor and vibrant coral reef system, before setting up
camp to view the 11,000 stars and Milky Way galaxy on display. The park
celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and offers star-centric programming
like night hikes and more for visitors to enjoy.
