Fogo
Island Inn, Joe Batt's Arm, Newfoundland, Canada
Dining at Fogo Island Inn,
whose picture windows look out onto the deep, navy ocean and the occasional
breaching whale, feels like dining at the edge of the world. The sleek hotel,
in a remote fishing village on Fogo’s northern coast, stands alone (and on
stilts). The dining room, described as “the noble prow of the ship”, is
considered one of the best in Canada, with ingredients fished or foraged
nearby.
