Hi there all,

A year back all Mohalla Committees had organised meetings with candidates standing for elections as PMC Corporators. You had interviewed them, listened to their plans and most importantly, presented them with a Charter of Demands for your Ward, which all the candidates signed. We Punekars are doing what other cities are still thinking of doing..

On March 12, 2013 it will be exactly One year since your Corporators got elected. Now is the time to assess both, her and him, on what they have done in their First year in office and particularly on action taken on the issues raised by you in the signed Charter of Demands..

So please go ahead and organise a meeting with both your Corporators. Give them a copy of Charter of Demands say a week in advance to enable them to refresh their minds. Do give adequate publicity to this meeting, so that a large no. of citizens come for the meeting and hence the Corporators would be pressurised to perform..

As a Mohalla Committee, do send a report on each of your Corporators rating them (Very Good, Good, Average, Not Satisfactory, Poor) on the following:

1. The no. of issues tackled by each of the Corporator as a percentage of the total no. of issues in your Charter of Demands.
2. Frequency of meeting with your Mohalla Committee.
3. Ease of Availability.
4. Overall Impression.
