Shahid Din and Other Events

Shahid Din observed.

Members of Bajarangi Morya Pratistan and All India Anti Terrorist front (AIATF) paid tribute to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on Shahid Din recently. The day also celebrated in various places in city.

While talking about it Sanmit Singh Chaudhari of Bajrangi Morya Pratistan said “Heroes are often neglected and they are remembered on such days. By celebrating such days we can at least remember them and their contribution for the country.” The Bajarangi Morya Pratishtan also demanding one place for the statue of Bhagt Singh, Rajguru and Sukhadev together, Chaudhari said “this will be a great think and will inspire youth for good work.”

The statues of these three heroes of the Indian freedom struggle were garlanded at Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s Hutatma Rajguru Vidyalay at Pandavnagar in city. While speaking on the occasion principal of the school said “students should draw inspiration from the life and times of these three heroes of our freedom struggle.”


Shaniwarwada Dance Festival


he well-known dance festival in Pune saw great tribute to Bharat Ratn Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. 30 minute performance of Nirakar-sakar conceptualized and choreographed by Kathhak Guru Shama Bhate presented with her troop.



This year the festival was organized only for a day which was running for two days last year. 70 minute long Dance performances Rhythm Devine by Padmashree Astad Deboo was also attraction of the festival. On the occasion of Dance festival Deboo performed after 12 year in the city. Bandish like Zanak Zankava More Bichua and Barkaha Narsan Lagi was the delight for art lovers.


The festival was inaugurated by Padmvibhushan Dr. K H Sancheti. Sabina Sanghavi, Gayatridevi Patvardhan, Parul Mehata, Nilam Shevalekar, Manisha Sathe, Rekha Krushnana, Ganesh Natrajan and many more veterans were present for the festival.



Awareness Express


Red Ribbon Express (RRE) was in the city recently to spread awareness about HIV and AIDS. The Train was halted on Khadki station and got good response from the citizens. RRE was launched by Government of India, Ministry of health and family welfare and National Aids Control Organization together.

Along with HIV and AIDS awareness the express aims at improve accessibility of services being provided regarding TB and Malerial. The train departed from Delhi and will cover total country.Volunteers, Counselors were appointed to guide visitors of the express.


Protest for Justice.

India against corruption and Bharat Swabhiman had organized day long protest demanding justice for the IPS officer Narendra Kumar. The Dharna was organized at Savarkar Smark near Deccan corner.

Narendra Kumar was murdered by the some mine mafias in Madhya Pradesh, and to highlight the corruption and other illegal activity in the system both organization had called the Dharna. The Dharna was also aimed at demand of strong whistleblower act.
